I have very thin fine hair and I've tried several flat irons and I have to say, the InStyler is by far the best iron I've ever used! It's always been a challenge for me to get and maintain height at the crown of my head but this is no longer a problem for me now that I have the Instyler. It's so great and I love it so much I'm going to buy two more and give one to my sister and one to my mom for Christmas. I highly recommend the InStyler.

I am a black woman. After washing my hair it gets really "nappy" as they say. I didn't see a lot of black women in the video's with my type of hair. How will the instyler perform on my hair?

The InStyler performs amazingly well on African American hair! In fact, during our initial testing, one of the first models we used the InStyler on was an African American woman named Kima. Her hair was very natural, not relaxed, and not chemically treated. The results surprised even the InStyler design team! They were fantastic!

I see that this product is great for thin hair but my problem is the opposite. I jave thick hair, which can look dry and "frizzy" unless I blow it out. Will this product work for thick hair types as well??

I want to try the Instyler so bad I'm a real skeptic though. I have natural African American hair. And it doesn't lay down like the girls in the video. I want something so I don't have to put chemicals in my hair, but still have it straight and beautiful when I want it. Or should I say more manageable. I live in the heat and the humidity kills our hair. If I try this product I really want it to work wish me luck!!

Mia, we think you'll be very pleased with the InStyler! As mentioned in a previous post, the InStyler works very well on African American hair.
Lisa, the InStyler will work very well on your hair as well. Thick or thin hair does not matter - the InStyler's new technology with the heated polishing barrel and the bristles work the magic! If you'd like to try the InStyler, there is currently a $14.99 30 Day Trial Offer on this web site.

I love the InSytler! It gives my fine, lifeless hair so much body! and it lasts throughout the whole day!I never hesitate about using it since it isn't damaging my hair. However, I'm really into those beachy waves that all the celebrities wear...can i acheive that look through the InStyler???? anybody got any ideas or suggestions?

What about using the InStyler on wet hair? I have thick frizzy hair that's quite long and taking the time to blow dry and then straightening takes way to long.

Heather, you can use the InStyler on DAMP hair (do not use on WET hair). Just run the InStyler through towel-dried damp hair, and you'll be good to go! Refer to our "Tips and Techniques" page: http://www.getinstyler.com/tips.html

I just got my Instyler in the mail..I absolutely love it! I own the maxiglide too but this one is even more amazing! I have curly waist lenght hair ,it is silky straight thanks to the Instyler> My sister will be getting my free one!It takes a while to process and ship but for me it was worth the wait!

Here's how I InStyle:
1) Detangle with a tourmaline brush, and a few sprays of ThermaSilk detangling spray
2) Towel dry and lightly blow dry if needed
3) Starting from the back, section hair and comb through
4) Run the InStyler through each section and curl under
5) for my bangs and hair on the frame of my face, I usually either flip them or give a light spiral curl for sexiness and texture
6) at the crown, I overdirect the barrel of the InStyler so that I get "that curl" like the did on the infomercial
7) spray the hair lightly with oil sheen, and medium hold hairspray, give it a little shake and comb, and I'm done!

I have been using the instyler for a little over a month now, and I am very pleased! However, I like keeping it in soft waves/curls more then I like styling it straight. Are there any tips on how to quickly style my hair curly/wavy with the instyler?

I have one question once you use the Instyler. After you are finished making your hair beautiful do you need to put some hairespray in it or can i just be finished and off to my day? Will it stay in for the whole day?

I have a question; I've used the InStyler and love it. I'm African American and my hair is natural. When I use it my hair is very straight but an hour later it draws back up. Is there something I can use to keep it straight longer?
