will it work with short hair? And does the barrel come in different sizes?
Posted by: Milagros | September 21, 2008 at 08:34 AM
You can absolutely use the InStyler on short hair at least three inches in length or longer. Obviously, if your hair is VERY short (one or two inches) or "spiky," then the InStyler would probably not work well for that kind of short hairstyle.
The InStyler's polishing barrel does not come in different sizes.

Does the instyler work with really thick, damaged, wavy hair?
Posted by: candy | September 21, 2008 at 11:44 AM
Candy,
The InStyler works on all types of hair, and we've found some of the best results are when the InStyler is used on thick, wavy hair. The InStyler will work on damaged hair as well, but as with all damaged hair issues, it's always a good idea to visit with a qualified hairdresser.
Posted by: InStyler | September 21, 2008 at 05:25 PM
Okay so this looks wonderful. Do you have a version for Professionals? Something that can withstand being used in a salon. Also are there plans to make an interchangeable size barrel in the future? I like having different sized curls and only having one is a little restricting. Also what about the differences in the flat irons that work on wet or dry hair. I understand what the infomercial says about most causing clumping and about the "squishing" of the hair. I'm just trying to get a better handle on this to make an informed decision. Thanks for your help and answers.

does my hair get damage if I use the Instyler often?
Posted by: swetha | September 23, 2008 at 10:43 AM
Rhonda,
You'll be happy to know that the InStyler was designed and built with the professional in mind! In fact, the InStyler is currently being used by several Beverly Hills hairdressers on their clientele, and is also behind the scenes on some of the hottest shows on TV right now. The InStyler with the "Rapid Heat" option is the Professional Model, and will be a great addition to your salon.
Currently, there are no plans to make the InStyler with a different sized barrel. We have found that most "curly" styles can be achieved with the proper technique. And, the InStyler can be used on hair to go from "damp to dry" as well (as long as the hair is not soaking, dripping wet).
Hope this helps!

To answer a few of your questions:
The beauty of the InStyler is, you can get fantastic shine and style without using any additional hair product sprays or conditioners. However, for maximum shine, we recommend our "Style and Shine Kit" (available on our "Products" page here: http://www.getinstyler.com/products.html ), which was developed by professional stylists for use with the InStyler.
The barrel is made from an aluminum alloy which was specifically created because of its ability to evenly distribute heat and gently polish the hair.
The InStyler in not available wholesale.
Under normal and proper use, the InStyler will not damage your hair.

I just got my Instyler yesterday and I tried it and absolutely LOVE it!!! I’ve tried all types of straighteners including the Kysoseki but was unhappy with the results. I’m African American and couldn’t find anything that would straighten my daughter’s natural hair which is EXTREMELY difficult to manage her tangled ends. The Instyler straightened her hair in minutes leaving it soft and silky without frizzing. The heat settings are very efficient for dry or damp hair. 2 stylers for $164 is nearly what I paid for 1 Kysoseki. It’s definitely worth it!!

I'm hesitating to buy this a little because of the Buy One Get One Free offer. Has the product not been selling well? How does the product compare to other high end straighteners?
Posted by: Natalie | September 24, 2008 at 02:29 PM
We’ve compared the InStyler with every high end styling tool that exists and we are 100% confident the InStyler is easier, faster, and provides a better result than tools that cost 3 or 4 times as much.
You simply won’t believe how much more body and volume and shine you get with the InStyler and how fast and easy it is to use. That’s why we’re introducing the product with a trial offer and the two for one. Its not easy to get people to try something new, but when people use the InStyler, they’re hooked!
The offer won’t last long and with the 30 day trial, we hope you’ll at least give it a try and then write us back with your opinions.

can i use the instyler if i have extensions in my hair?
Posted by: kima | September 24, 2008 at 05:36 PM
Is this like a REVO STYLER???? Does the brush spin?? What is it made of?? I loved my revo styler...now it's not available anymore. I gotta figure this out!
Posted by: Nancy A. | September 25, 2008 at 02:39 PM
To answer a couple of questions:
We do not recommend using the InStyler on hair that has hair extensions. The way they are installed and the quality of hair extensions vary so widely, that they may respond negatively to ANY hot tool.
The InStyler is not at all like the Revo Styler. Our brush does not rotate, so you can't get your hair tangled.
Only the barrel on the InStyler rotates, not the brush!
