Using Your InStyler on Fine or Thin Hair

We get a lot of questions asking if the InStyler will deliver volume and fullness to fine, limp or thin hair.

Put simply - YES!!!

The key to getting amazing fullness, lift and volume with your InStyler is an easy technique called "overdirection!"

Overdirection at the root is the single most important technique to create body and style for fine, limp or thin hair (and even short hair), since this tends to "set" the section of the hair that gives it lift off the scalp.  Overdirection can go a long way to producing good results, even if the section of hair is not as thick as it should be in the InStyler.  You can start with a thinner section of hair to see how it works for you, then add more hair to make a "thicker" section to get better results.

Thin hair is also greatly helped by using the Firm-Up Spray to further set the body and style created with the InStyler.

I am thinking of buying this product - I am wondering if you can use this on your hair if there is styling product already dried on your hair. I use my flat iron on my hair that has hairspray on it from the day before. Anyone know?

Janet, we recommend completely clean hair when using the InStyler, however, you can use our "Shine Essence Spray" before using your InStyler for a little extra "oomph!"
